So this was my plan for last weekend's bridesmaids dress shopping festivities. I decided to make little goody bags for the occasion with homemade sugar cookies, ring pops, and then pack a cooler with bottled water and wine. Sort of a "bridal survival kit" if you will.
I decided to make the cookies in the shape of wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, left hands, J's and M's. Lucky for me, this meant a trip to Sur la Table for the above supplies. LOVE THAT PLACE. Thankfully my mom stopped by to (what else??) moose-nap so she lended her expertise as well. All in all they turned out pretty well...
The gown and hand.
Everything else.... she originally was thinking she wanted blue as the bridesmaid's dresses; hence the blue and white color scheme.
They were a big hit and I think provided a much needed energy boost at about 4:00. We started the morning over mimosas at Breadwinner's.
And then continued on to Terry Costa where we got to see Jodi try on her dress (GORGEOUS, that's all I can say even though I highly doubt Matt reads and/or even knows I have a blog!) and then to Mockingbird Bridal, where the winner was found!
Here we are doing the two things Mockingbird Bridal strictly prohibits... 1) drinks of any sort (probably especially red wine) and 2) taking photos. Dyan (on the right) is wearing the winner.
And here it is on the model. So fun! Jodi said she probably would have never chosen it had she not been able to see in on three out of the four of us. I think it will look fabulous and as Dyan said "has that Jodi flair".
It was such a fun day. I'm so happy I was able to meet Dyan before the wedding and to meet Matt's mom (the woman has four boys... she deserves a medal!!) And it was really helpful to have everyone there to give their input on the dress.
