July in Pictures

Seeing as how it is the last day of August, I thought I should probably get around to doing July in Pictures. Better late than never!

Me, Alex, and E (and baby Tyler) at the Arboretum.  A big group of us went out to Cool Thursday to see the Spazmatics play. It was hot as hell but a lot of fun.

E and baby Addison (Tyler's twin).

Beautiful sunset, fun band, great friends, with a glass of wine in my hand... it just doesn't get much better than that!

Jodi moved out the 'burbs- and by "burbs" I mean Oklahoma.  Okay, fine... Frisco. But it may as well be Oklahoma. Her street has donkeys, no curbs and random turtles tempting fate. I was on my way to her house and saw this guy trucking across their busy street so pitifully that I had to stop and help.

Safe and sound. I thought it was kind of rude that I saved his ass and he still wouldn't poke his little turtle head out for a photo op.

Jodi and Alison at the new digs. We broke in their new house properly with margaritas and barbecue on the 4th of July.

Why are fireworks always so hard to catch on camera?

We packed up all the dishes and forgot to leave out plates. Nothing like a little improvising to make you appreciate the simple things in life. Luckily the griddle for the panini press made a decent stand-in. This looks like the kind of meal a lunch lady would serve, doesn't it? I blame the hecticness of the move.

Plates were an afterthought, but the corkscrew was not. That sucker never even saw a cardboard box.      Always prepared.

I went to lunch with Jodi and Miss Madi. Shortly after we arrived, Jodi realized out she was out of formula. We decided the easiest thing would be for me to stay with Madi while Jodi made a quick run to the drugstore. My first experience babysitting my sweet chunk of a goddaughter was going swimmingly until the scary tattoo'd waiter decided to get all up in her grill- cue the tears two seconds before mom got back. Just my luck!

Anyone need a gas can? Moving out made my running-out-of-gas-habit seem glaringly obvious. Sadly, this isn't all of them- there was one more on the shelf below and one at my office.

Sadly toasting the newly empty townhouse after a long day of moving. Did I really just post what could possibly be the worst, sweatiest and most red-faced picture of me ever taken. Yes. Yes, I did.

I was amazed by the entire POD process. Those people have it down. It was 142 degrees outside the day they delivered it and I stood outside the entire time because I was so fascinated by how it worked. Look how close they were able to get it to the edge of the curb (yes, I'm a dork)!

My three week stint at my parents included a bit of pool time. Including one day in which I attended a GoToMeeting while sitting on the steps of said pool.

It also included a lot of wiener dogs.

I ended the month by finally finding this pair of wedges after coveting them on Pinterest for a solid month and a half. Cheers to online shoe stalking paying off!

I'm cracking up (but also highly jealous) that you attended a meeting while poolside! That's so priceless!
