Note to Self...

On your next trip to Paris, while it is important to make sure the hotel room has air conditioning and internet, one should also request a room that has a bathroom door:
Luckily, between my hair accessories, The Dot's laundry aides, and this pointless skinny blanket that was at the foot of the bed, we were able to fashion a makeshift door to allow for a non-awkward mother/daughter cohabitating showering experience. {Also strangely missing: a shower curtain} It is also the size of a shoebox, but that was to be expected.

The room wasn't ready until 2:00 so we spent the day wandering around without much of a plan.

So far today:
1 Seine Riverboat Cruise.
3 successful conversations with french people ending with 0 of them being offended.
2 major landmarks checked off.
1 wink from a creepy gelato guy.
2 wrong turns resulting in 30 minute detour back to hotel.

My travel companion got a bit frustrated with me when I got us lost, and I couldn't snip back since it's her birthday, but all is well that ends well. We made it through day one without getting mugged or losing anything, so I'm gonna chalk it up as a win thus far!
