D plays softball every Sunday, Monday, and Wednesday, but got a sub for Sunday so we could spend the day together. It was the perfect way to celebrate a year of knowing each other.

The weather was GORGEOUS on Sunday, so we started the day by walking down to Highland Park Pharmacy for lunch. I know it sounds random to have lunch at a pharmacy, but it's more of an old school soda fountain than a pharmacy. It's over 100 years old and has the best homemade vanilla cokes, malts, BLT's, etc. Their chocolate shakes are amazing (good thing we were walkin' home!).

After lunch, we went to J. Blacks (the bar where we met) and had a few green beers. I'm a nerd and got super excited when we pulled up and the patio table we were at a year ago was open.

After J. Blacks, we went to the Dallas Arboretum for Savor Dallas.

They had food from local restaurants scattered throughout the arboretum as well as tastings of all sorts of different whiskey, beer, and wine. In the center, they had a band playing so we parked it in the grass for a bit and enjoyed the music.

 And the wine.

And the sunset over the lake.

We ended our day with wine and appetizers at Terilli's.

We had so much fun that I was sad to see the day end, but luckily I still have these pretties brightening up my kitchen table this week.

Happy Meetiversary, D!! xoxo
